Usage

Defines a link to an external document, such as a stylesheet. Should be used within the <head> section.

Required Attributes

  • none

Optional Attributes

  • charset - defines the character set used to encode the target URL. Default is ISO-8859-1
  • href - the location of the linked file
  • hreflang - the language of the linked file
  • media - specifies what media formats the document will be displayed on. Values can include screen, print, and tv
  • rel - specifies the relationship between the current page and the target URL
  • rev - defines the relationship between the target URL and the current page
  • type - defines the MIME type of the target document
